OBJECTIVES
- To assess participants who have undergone a training in basic knowledge of food hygiene.
CERTIFICATE
A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate will be awarded to participants who pass the examination.
FOR WHOM
For those food handlers or individuals who do not require a registration with the National Environment Agency, but are interested in having their knowledge of food hygiene assessed by the Society.
ENTRY REQUIREMENT
Participants must be able to understand the medium of instruction, which is either in English, Mandarin or Malay.
CONTENT
(a) Basic Bacteriology. (b) Food poisoning & food borne infection (c) Food Handling & Storage (d) Personal Hygiene (e) Cleaning & Disinfection (f) Premises, equipment and pest control (g) Legislation
EXAMINATION FEES
Examination fee is $15 per candidate, subject to a min. of 15 candidates.
REFUND OF FEES
All fees paid are not refundable. However, substitution of participants is allowed.
CANCELLATION
The Society reserves the right to cancel or postpone the examination or reject any application, without giving any reason. In such cases, the fees paid will be fully refunded.
